DESCRIPTION
Corona treatment is a surface treatment technology that modifies the surface of treated substrates such as plastic films, paper, and metal foils by irradiating them with corona discharge.
Corona discharge occurs when high frequency and high voltage oscillated from a high frequency power supply is applied between the processing station’s electrode and processing roll.
By passing the treated substrate through this electrical discharge, corona treatment is applied, which generally improves wettability (wetting tension), and at the same time significantly improves printing properties, coating properties, bonding properties, etc.

Kasuga Corona Treatment Station for Insulating Substrates
This is a standard corona treatment processing station for insulating substrates such as plastic films. It is widely used as a pretreatment for converting processes such as printing, coating, and laminating.
The electrode uses a metal electrode and swings open and close. Vertical opening/closing can also be manufactured. Compatible with processing widths up to 3000mm.
Kasuga Corona Treatment Station for Conductive Substrates
This corona treatment processing station can process conductive substrates such as aluminium foil and copper foil. It is also compatible with insulating base materials such as plastic films, and is recommended for Convertec users who process a wide variety of base films.
It is used in combination with a dielectric coated electrode (ceramic electrode, quartz electrode, etc.) and a metal roll.
Kasuga Corona Treatment Station for Wide Substrates
This is a torque tube type processing station used in wide film production lines such as BOPP and BOPET.
Kasuga has a track record of delivering products up to 8.8m in length, and is able to design and manufacture products according to the machine frame width and roll layout. The structure is built to minimize damage to the station when the film breaks.
Kasuga Internal Pressure Blower Treatment Station
The structure of this corona treatment station is designed to increase internal pressure to prevent outside air from entering the processing station. It is used near printing machines and coater machines where volatile solvents are used. (Non-explosion proof specification)
It is also compatible with conductive substrates (combination of ceramic/quartz electrodes and metal rolls).

This is a processing station for narrow webs. It has a cantilevered structure and is easy to maintain, so it is widely used in label printing machines, pilot coaters, etc.

This is a processing station that processes plastic molded products of various shapes, foam sheets, etc. It uses wire electrodes to handle special shapes and thick substrates.

Kasuga Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Processing Station
This is a treatment station for performing discharge treatment in gas. Atmospheric pressure plasma treatment gives selectivity to the functional groups introduced into the base material depending on the type of rare gas or inert gas used, resulting in surface modification that cannot be achieved with general corona treatment.
